![]() ![]() Then later it is revealed that he once had a past life as a king (seriously, that episode is SO great in building Sharks character), and finally, that he is the leader of his enemies, and that they all trust him with their lives. A great rival, a big jark but all in all, a good friend to the protagonist. Take this character, and set him up to be the Joey of the series. Lastly, I just want to vent about the great plot twist about Shark being a barian, and the barians once being humans. His voice is so soothing, with a hint of something sinister behind it (in his barian form he talks like a freaking banshee). My favorite performance is probably Vector in his human form. Yumas voice actor is kind of off-putting in the beginning, but given enough time it stops bothering you. Most voiced are fine, some are hit or miss (like Vetrix or Dr. Speaking of 4kids, the voice actors sadly aren't at their level. In fact, the final version of Halfway to Forever might be one of my favorite dub openings, because of how well edited and well paced the visuals are with the song While the visuals are usually just scenes meshed together to go well with the song, "Take a Chance" and "Halway to Forever" are still good songs capturing the spirit and messege of Zexal. The openings are also 4kids level of good. Of course I would've liked if they had used the original japanese score, but the dub score is good and fitting for the scene or the mood, kind of like 4Kids back in the day. I especially like of they use "Take a Chance" when the pop idol performs on screen, instead of some random jibberish in the original japanese version. Then there is the dub score, which I actually like. ![]() ![]() They add a lot of lame jokes no one laughes at, but when they stick to the original intent of a scene, and don't avert to much from the japanese script, they tell the real story of Yugioh Zexal, which might be one of my favorite in any yugioh series. However, I want to start of by saying that, while the english script doesn't hold up to the japanese, the production of the show is still very good. However, what still remains from the original japanese storyline is still the great story of Yuma, Astral, Shark and the other barian emperors. ![]() To start of, I know of all the changes and omissions in the english dub, and I'm not a fan of it. ![]()
